One of the cool things about being a photographer is the ability to work with so many people and their passions. When brainstorming for this blog, I wanted to take the community-over-competition mentality in mind. I knew I not only wanted to showcase my own work but I also wanted illuminate other people's gifts and passions.
For this blog, I had the wonderful privilege of collabing with fashion fanatic, and my dear friend, Shelby Motes. Not only does this gal have an incredible eye for clothes but she also has her own blog, inTHREADable finds. Even though I am by no means a fashion expert, I also love fashion and thought it would so fun for us to put our ideas together and create this project.
Fall is my absolute favorite season and with fall fashion now in full swing, I wanted to create a clothing blog that showcased some of this season's hottest trends. Since Shelby is the style expert, I've had her pick 3 of her top fall faves of the season. For the posing styles, I wanted to stick with traditional blogger type shots that showcase both the outfits as a whole and the individual details of each piece. Lastly, we took to Downtown Anderson for the location simply because it gave quite of variety of places and backgrounds at which to shoot.
So without further ado, let's jump into these fall fits!
OUTFIT 1:
What is fall without the perfect sweater?? This outfit embodies all things fall from the this adorable twist sweater and block print jeans to the snake print boots and trendy, black fedora. This casual look is perfect for a fun girls night out on the town and maybe even a little photo-op too! Animal prints are definitely making a comeback this year and these snake skin boots add a fun element to this piece.
OUTFIT 2:
This outfit is the perfect summer-to-fall transition outfit. South Carolina's weather is clearly not getting the fall memo so this dress is perfect for those 100 degree October days. The color of the dress is perfect for transitioning into warm fall colors while the slit and short sleeves are perfect for the heat. Another thing that makes this piece complete is the statement belt. This belt really spices up the outfit and adds a nice touch to make the outfit more than just a cute dress. You can never really go wrong with accessorizing!
OUTFIT 3:
This last outfit is my favorite! If you're like me, you may have lots of graphic tees but have no idea how to wear them without leggings or athletic shorts. This outfit incorporates the graphic tee in a cute, trendy way and uses fall items (the brown suede pants and hat) to bring it all together.
